In 1989, Mike O’Donnell was a star athlete with a full college scholarship imminent. He seemingly had it all.
When, right before the championship game,  his girlfriend Scarlet informed him that she was pregnant(怀孕的). In that moment, he made the decision to  throw everything  away (including basketball and a chance to enter the university)  and proposed(求婚) to her.
Twenty years later , Mike has e a miserable and unhappy businessman. His wife Scarlet want to divorce him because of his plaints, his job is going nowhere, and his kids want nothing to do with him. He wishes that he could go back to 17-year-old to choose again and live a total different life.
His wish es reality. With the help of his best friend, he goes back to his high school.
After an accident, Mike finds himself was magically transformed into his 17-year-old self.
In high school, Mike has to face many challenges. For example, he tries to make friends with his children.
Mike helps his son get the girlfriend he desires and forts his daughter when she is dumped by the bully(恶霸).
Mike also meets Scarlet. He helps her decorate garden as her son’s best friend.
