Teaching aims:
1. To make good use of the new words and expressions about how to describe a people
2. To practice talking about their likes and dislikes especially using the new expressions correctly.
3. Know the standards of good friend
Teaching difficulties:
How to use the new words and expressions to describe their friend correctly
Such as using words: honest loyal funny wise smart brave to describe their appearance and personality
sb be fond of sth./doing sth and Sb think(s) that … is boring/ terrible to say hobbies.
Teaching tools:
CAI- PowerPoint or pictures
Teaching procedures:
Step 1: introduction and lead-in (2 mins)
Introduce myself to them and say I want to be their friend to start our discussion about friends. And ask some volunteers to describe their friends to me. Write some adjs they used to describe their friend as a review or hint to the rest.
Step 2: new words (5 mins)
Introduce one of my old friends to start the learning of new words.
