Abstract:
The northern margin of Sichuan Basin is an important lead-zinc mining area in China, and a large part of it is MVT type lead-zinc deposits. Studying the formation and evolution of hydrothermal fluids in this deposit is helpful to understand the genetic mechanism of the deposit. In this paper, the geological characteristics of lead-zinc deposits in the northern margin of Sichuan Basin were analyzed and combined with relevant literature and research results to explore the formation and evolution of MVT type lead-zinc deposits in this region.
The study shows that the formation and evolution of MVT type lead-zinc deposits on the northern margin of the Sichuan Basin are closely related, mainly influenced by the action of hydrothermal fluids. Hydrothermal fluids are formed in the deep lithosphere and gradually move upward with the changes of crustal movement. After a long period of action, they form MVT type lead-zinc deposits. The fluid permeability of the deposit is strong, and the hydrothermal fluid contains a large amount of lead, zinc, copper and other elements. Under the action of geological structure, these elements form deposits through precipitation.
In the process of formation and evolution, MVT type lead-zinc deposits on the northern margin of the Sichuan Basin experienced multiple stages of action, mainly including the formation and migration of hydrothermal fluids, magma consolidation and deposit mineralization stage.
