The results showed that cadmium and copper can significantly increase the expression level of metallothionein in the Chinese mitten crab. By PCR amplification and gene cloning, the cDNA sequence of metallothionein in the Chinese mitten crab was obtained, and it was found to contain a typical metallothionein conserved domain through analysis. This study provides a theoretical basis and method support for further exploration of the effect of cadmium and copper on the physiological metabolism of the Chinese mitten crab.
