This paper reviews the molecular and cellular biology mechanisms of MPA in anti-gastric cancer, including its effects on cell cycle, apoptosis, tumor invasion and metastasis. The results show that MPA can inhibit the growth and metastasis of gastric cancer by inhibiting multiple signaling pathways, targeting multiple proteins and regulating multiple gene expressions. In addition, the combination application of MPA and other compounds can also enhance its anti-cancer effect. This paper summarizes the current research progress and points out the problems of MPA in clinical application, providing a reference for the further development of MPA's anticancer activity.
