Abstract: With the rapid development of China and the increase in international exchange, more and more international students are choosing to study in China. However, due to cultural differences, international students face many difficulties and challenges in adapting to life and studying in China. Therefore, in order to provide better support and assistance, universities need to carry out cross-cultural adaptation support services. Taking Xiamen University as an example, this paper discusses the problems of cross-cultural adaptation support services for international students in Chinese universities and proposes some solutions.
1. Introduction
In recent years, the internationalization of Chinese universities has been continuously improving, attracting more and more international students to come and study. However, cultural differences are a universal problem, and international students often encounter difficulties in adapting to life and study in China. Therefore, universities need to provide cross-cultural adaptation support services to help international students better integrate into Chinese society and academic environment.
2. Cross-cultural adaptation problems of international students

Language is one of the core issues in cross-cultural adaptation.
