William Shakespeare was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world‘s pre-eminent dramatist . He is often called England’s national poet and the “Bard of Avon”.(艾冯河畔诗人)
About the Book
The drama made by shakespeare in it belongs to Shakespeare's early works.
About Shakespeare’edy,usually have funny plot , romantic love story , sometimes have the conflicts with relatives . But in the end , comedies always have happy ending .
Comparing with the tragedies written by Shakespeare ,edies are more interesting and more easy . They don’t have plicated relationship or some deep normal human feelings.
Hermia--- beautiful , brave , kind , honesty . When her father force her to marry Demetrius , she voted against and escaped with Lysander. She was very honest to Lysander , and she did not hide her true heart to anybody including Helena .
Helena ---- crazy , eyeless for love , a little selfish . She loved Demetrius so deeply that she lost herself and followed him everywhere ,which was crazy and eyeless . When Demetrius and Lysander loved her , she enjoyed it and left her friend Hermia alone. We can see she is a little selfish .
Lysander---- brave. He wanted to leave the city for being together with Hermia ,we could see his love for her is profound and true .
Demetrius----play boy , selfish , not a gentleman . He only wanted to have Hermia and her beauty . When Helena followed him in the wood , he even said rude words to her .
Egeus---selfish , rude , cruel . He forced Hermia even wanted the law to kill her . He was not a good father.
