摘要
本论文着眼于下一代网络〈移动互联网)中新型网络协议(流控制传输协议 SCTP,lETF
盯C2960) 传输新型网络应用(流媒体)的性能研究。
本文研究课题的应用层技术背景是网络中的新型应用一流媒体。随着In temet 的发展,网络与人们的生活越来越紧密,用户对In temet 上的应用需求越来越多。另外,网络带宽、速度的大幅提高和计算机处理能力的大大增强,使得在网络中传输大数据量的多媒体应用成为可能,,用户不必下载就可以-Jil接收数据流一边播放.
本文研究课题的网络层技术背景是移动 E 技术。Intemet 与移动通信的飞速发展使得人们越来越迫切地要求将Intemet 与移动网结合起来为移动用户提供方便自由的移动业务,移动互联网是下一代网络发展的趋势之一. Mobile IP 是移动互联网中的关键技术。本文主要研究移动网络中流媒体的传输。
传输层协议是本文研究的重点,流控制传输协议 (Stream Control Transmission Protocol - SC丁1')是æTF 在 2000 年 10 月正式公布的新一代传输协议标准(RFC2960) ,它有望在不远的将来替代 TCP 协议成为下一代互联网中主流的传输协议。本文以移动环境下传输层协议 SCTP 及其扩展的性能评估为主线,重点研究了 SCIP 的非可靠扩展在移动网络环境下传输流媒体的性能,同时提出了两种在 SCTP 非可靠扩展上传输 MPEG -4数据流的新机制,作者通过在网络环境下实现 SC I'P 及其非可靠扩展·部分可靠 SCτ"P(pRSCTP - Partial Reliability SCτ1')协议模型,并通过大量的仿真,评估了 SCTP 协议在移动网络中传输多媒体数据流的性能,并将 SCIP ,PRSCTP 等几种新传输层协议与传统的传输协议 TCP 和 UDP 进行了比较。

The thesis focuses on the performance evaluation of new transport protocol (SCTP - S位eam Control Transmission Protocol) for new application (streaming media) over next
work (mobile Intemet).
From the application layer's point of view,new application - stre缸ning media is investigated in the thesis. With the rapid development of Intemet and the close link hum础's lífe to it,users' requirement to the Intemet is increasing dramaticly. Moreover,the enhancement of the bandwidth ,the rate of Intemet and puting capability put町s make it possible to transport huge amount of multimedia data in Intemet.
