Inexerciseofthepowersconferredbysection3oftheRegulationofImportsandExportsAct,theMinisterforTradeandIndustry(Trade)makesthefollowingRegulations:

(ChewingGum)(Amendment)eintooperationon1November2016.
Amendmentofregulation2
(ChewingGum)Regulations(Rg4)(calledintheseRegulationstheprincipalRegulations)isamendedbydeletingthedefinitionsof“chewinggumwiththerapeuticvalue”,“medicinalproduct”and“oraldentalgum”andsubstitutingthefollowingdefinitions:““healthproduct”and“RegisterofHealthProducts”havethesamemeaningsasintheHealthProductsAct();
“oraldentalgum”meansahealthproductcategorisedasanoraldentalgumintheFirstScheduletotheHealthProductsAct;
“therapeuticproduct”meansahealthproductcategorisedasatherapeuticproductintheFirstScheduletotheHealthProductsAct.”.
