With the improving demand in frequency stability, the importance of unit’s primary frequency regulation is reappraised by electric system. But an effective approach to supervise and assess unit’s primary frequency regulation function is not presented yet, which results in that unit can’t quickly stable frequency disturbance. According to this problem, this dissertation makes a study and brings forward a statistics approach to evaluating the efficiency of primary frequency regulation. At first, the paper discusses two different frequency regulation methods: One is primary frequency regulation and another si automatic generation control (AGC). The different principles and modes of two methods are introduced. By using boiler deposited energy, turbine’s regulation acts quickly to stable frequency disturbance, which is the principle of primary frequency regulation.
