Summary
The film tells the story of Gao and Mei and dad a move to the new home of the country. New home in a quiet and beautiful place, next to a huge oak tree.  the first days They arrived in , they fell in love with this place, still in the attic(阁楼) ['ætik]  found plenty of small black coal insect  wizards (黑煤虫精灵).

The small totoro flurried to get rid of Mei but lead her to the sleeping big totoro. The secret make Gao and Mei excited. Gao also dreamed of one day can see the totoro. This dream soon realized.
One day, Mei alone in the yard hunting for acorns(橡树子) when, unexpectedly saw lovely small totoro.

It was a raining evening. On the station where the two sisters waited their father from work, the big totoro appeared.
Gao lend totoro an umbrella to keep it out the heavy rain. While totoro regarded it as a very interesting toy.

Summer was the past time when Gao received the hospital telegraph said that mom was fortable and would delay the time to go home. The two sisters were very worry about mother and feel upset.
plained her sister while Gao blamed Mei was not reasonable. Mei cried to shout the elder sister was an idiot and ran far. That day, Mei have gone missing.

Gao couldn’t find Mei anywhere, then she thought of totoro. Totoro called in the cat bus and finally found the lost Mei. It turned out she wanted to go to the hospital to see her mother.
Later, the cat bus took the two sisters came to mother‘s ward(病房). Before the window, the two sisters saw mother was well far away and don't know how to describe the happiness. Mei leaned against sister’s shoulder, warmth returned to the heart.

In fact, totoro is wizard. But only children can see them. Or the one who is childish (just like me).
