赴泰汉语教师文化适应研究.pdf

摘要
所谓文化适应,主要是指个体适应陌生文化的过程。我们用它特指人们在跨
文化交际中的适应过程或状况。近年来,大量中国教师赴国外教汉语,尤其以到
泰国的居多,他们的跨文化适应状况值得我们去研究和分析。本文借鉴国内外学
者对跨文化适应的研究以及相关的概念如文化休克、文化定型等,结合泰国的文
化和赴泰汉语教师跨文化适应的实际情况,从而说明研究赴泰汉语教师文化适应
的必要性与可行性。
笔者联系自己及其他人在赴泰国工作期间的所见所闻及感受,设计了问卷调
查表,近百位赴泰教师参与了这项调查。问卷从赴泰教师的日常生活入手,从自
然环境和日常生活、语言障碍、人际交往、工作状况、心理压力等方面来了解他
们的适应状况,探索影响赴泰教师适应的主要因素。文章从人口统计学变量分类
来考察赴泰教师的适应状况,并利用 SPSS 软件分析社会支持度、文化参与度与
文化适应的相关性。针对问卷调查的不足,研究中又加入了个案调查和访谈,以
期对调查对象的文化适应问题作透彻的了解和具体的分析。
根据统计分析的数据,笔者认为,赴泰教师由于所任教学校层次的不同,自
身适应水平有很大差别,而性别、专业等因素对他们的适应情况并无明显影响。
本文通过对统计结果进一步分析发现,赴泰教师的文化参与度与文化适应的水平
及程度有着显著的关系,而社会支持度与文化适应的程度也有着直接的关系。
通过对赴泰教师文化适应情况的思考,笔者提出改善文化适应的策略,包括:
文化整合的态度、积极参与的策略、文化导向训练的方法以及以工作适应带动整
体文化适应的策略,这四个方面应该被视为一个整体,从而更大程度地帮助赴泰
教师提升文化适应水平。

赴泰汉语教师的文化适应研究
Abstract
This article, first of all, describes what cross-cultural adaptation is, the concepts of
cross-cultural adaptation, culture-shock, cultural stereotypes, and the relationships
between them as well. Considering the basic situation of Chinese language teachers in
Thailand, the author tries to illustrate the necessity and the possibility of further study
to the Chinese language teachers’ cross-cultural adaptation in Thailand.
The investigation and analysis of the Chinese language teachers’ cross-cultural
adaptation in Thailand is the main body of the article. A series of questionnaires to the
Chinese teachers in Thailand are designed from different perspectives like natural
environment, everyday life, language barrier, social interaction and working situation,
so as to explore the main factors impacting the adjustment process of Chinese
teachers in Thailand socially and individually.
