Abstract Since the limitation of design and construction, long term overload operation, raw water quality deterioration and the up-
grading requirement on water quality, the original water purification structures of Phase I & II Project in TEDA pany can’t
meet the needs of production. On the basis of the basic characteristics of the waterworks, the conventional treatment were rehabilitated
technically, including chemical dosing, mixing devices, baffled reaction chamber, inclined tube settling tank, siphon filter, etc. After
the rehabilitation, the aim of better performances with high efficiency operation and improving quality of output water are obtained.
