作形式主语
当主语由动词不定式短语,动名词短语和主语从句充当时,为了避免头重脚轻,使整个句子平衡,常把这些主语放在句末,而把it放在句首充当形式主语。如:
It is necessary for you to get up early.
It is no use arguing with him.
It is a fact that English is being accepted as an international language.
作形式主语,代替不定式,动名词或从句表示的真正主语
