摘要

幽默是人类日常交流的重要组成部分。本文采用关联理论为框架来研究美国
情景喜剧中的言语幽默。关联理论由 Sperber 和 Wilson 提出,是基于认知和交流
的理论,比起合作原则更适合应用于言语幽默的学习研究,且能很好地阐释幽默
策略的来源和使用。
本文正是从关联理论的新视角,选用美国情景喜剧《生活大爆炸》中的言语
幽默片段作为语料来进行分析研究。情景喜剧属于语言和视觉的交际模式,主要
靠幽默策略来制造言语幽默效果。因此本文将着重探索关联理论框架下的最主要
言语幽默策略和剧作家为实现幽默策略所使用的语言手段。
本文正文一共分为五个部分。第一章为导言,主要介绍本文的研究目的、重
要性及论文结构。
第二章是关于幽默研究和关联理论的文献综述。前者作为本文的研究语料,
本文将详述其经典分类和传统理论;后者作为本文的理论框架,包括其原则、动
态语境观、认知环境与互明等在内的概念将被着重介绍。
第三章就本文的研究方法做出陈述,首先提出了研究问题,然后明确了研
究步骤。本文选取美国情景喜剧《生活大爆炸》中的言语幽默作为语料,根据现
场录制剧集时观众发出的笑声作为评定某些片段是否幽默的标准之一,最终锁定
了五十个言语幽默片段,将其分为三类并做进一步的分析。
第四章是文章的主题部分,旨在运用关联理论分析观众对情景喜剧中言语
幽默的理解过程,并寻求最主要的幽默策略的来源。根据上章对《生活大爆炸》
中言语幽默所做的分类,本文列举出十个剧作家常用的能有效产生幽默效果的语

言手段,这些手段都印证了在关联理论框架下最主要的幽默策略是最大关联与最
佳关联的差异。另外针对某些幽默难以理解的现象,本文也就关联理论中关于认
知语境和互明的论述做出阐释。
第五章结论部分对全文做出总结并提出建议。

Abstract

Humor plays an indispensable part in munication. This thesis is a
tentative analysis of verbal humor understanding within the framework of relevance
theory proposed by Sperber and Wilson. Relevance theory is based munication
and cognition, which is more reasonable and suitable to study verbal humor and the
humor production strategies.
In light of relevance theory, this thesis presents a new perspective to the study
of verbal humor in edy, taking American “The Big Bang Theory”
as the data source. edy belongs to the verbal-visual model of
communication and the humor in it is conveyed mainly through the verbal humor
strategies. So this thesis will discuss the humor strategies in in terms of
relevance theory and try to find out the techniques used to realize such strategies,
which forms the most significant part of this thesis. In the hope of making suggestions
for further research, this thesis will analyze the difficulties in fully understanding the
humor
