Preface
• There is no doubt in the views of our interviewees, the change is the only thing that
is certain even in the future. We have not dared to attempt a prediction of the future
nor to plete in our trend analysis – we hope to raise some critical issues
assisting you in thinking about your agenda 2010.
• The automotive industry continues to reinvent itself with a focus on perceived
customer needs driving OEMs to radically adapt their marketing/sales and service
efforts and OES following suit in entering former OEM territory as well as targeting
final consumers. For those suppliers which want to stand out as winners in the
future there is a clear need to adapt their business system accordingly. In this
study we talk about trend impact on the supplier business system.
• Over the past decade, Roland Berger & Partners have conducted more than 600
projects for more than 200 clients worldwide in the automotive and supplier industry.
We are looking very much forward to further support our clients to meet the
challenge 2010. Let’s talk!
