Luis con is a famous architect. He made a great contribution to the construction industry, and left a lot of good works.
For the philosophy of construction , he developed the architectural philosophy. He think the blind worship of technology and universal design will make the building lack of features,and insists that each building subject must have special constraint. His works are solid and thick, do not show the structural function, and created a new genre. In his design he essfully uses of the changes of light, and is the pioneer.
in the design of Yale University art museum, the surfaces is very simple -- banded stone reflects natural partition of the floor , glass curtain wall presents a simple vertical form of repetition. The main building is divided into two hall which is separated by a narrow space, including rectangular elevator space, pipelines and storage room, and a stairs. Its most notable features are an equilateral triangle iron staircase embedded in a cylindrical concrete tube , and contacted with a small area of the original construction.
Lewis Kang has left us a great building wealth, is a architect we should learn from.
