Abstract Movies and televisions were mainly used to record the real life, or copy and reproduce the stage performance during their early development. With the remarkable progress of technology, movies and televisions experience several developmental stages. As a kind of media, today they exhibit pletely new face. Besides, they are also regarded as a special form of art. As a kind of art, movies and televisions presented to the audience pictures, Configuration of the picture is the most important element of Film-Video Arts. Different from those still paintings and sculptures, the film and video pictures keep in constant motion. They are transient and fleet very fast. Audience’s perception of the pictures depends on prehensiveness of many factors, which raise up higher requests for the design of the picture’s configuration. Among those factors that influence the configuration, scene design and filming are most decisive. In my work, I studied the configuration of the screen pictures from the light and color of the scene design, position and traveling shot. A lot of outstanding films at home and aboard are cited. Furthermore, bining the theory and experience from my practice in television station and Academy of Fine Arts, I present my personal opinion on art language of the configuration of film and video pictures.
