论中国传统译论中的读者观照

【摘要】:译者在从事翻译活动时必然要或多或少地考虑读者的存在,这就是最基本的读者关照。读者观照以译语读者群体的某些文化特征为参照,在具体的翻译话动中,表现出一系列选择性倾向,以满足译语读者群体的需要,或适应其某些原有习惯,或者对读者群体命运和前途的关注。读者观照具有妥协性和进取性,双重特性。另外,从读者观照的角度出发,考察译者对翻译技巧的选择,可以找到一条评价翻译技巧选择成败得失的新途径。
The Readers Consideration in Traditional Chinese Translation Theory

[Abstract]: It is discovered that the consideration of the readers of target-language in the study of the history of the translation of Buddhism and the history of translation of western political thoughts and western literature. A translator has to consider the reader whom he is translating for in his translation, which implies the basic consideration of the readers. The consideration of the readers means the alternative characteristics as the influence of the culture of target language in the translation to meet certain need of the readers, to adapt to the traditional culture of the target language or to consider the future of the readers. The consideration of the readers is characterized by promise and aggression. With respect to the consideration of the readers, a new method is found to valuate the translation skills chosen by a certain translator.
