在初中英语里,”make”是一个很常用的词,用法及词义较多,下面谈一谈它的用法。
1 表示“做,制作,整理”
make paper 造纸
make a toy plane 做玩具飞机
make a loud noise 发出很大的响声
make bed 整理床铺
2 表示“获得,赢得;引起,使得”
make money 挣钱
make a live 谋生
make friends with sb. 与某人交朋友
3 与某些名词连用,意义上等于相对应的动词
make a telephone call = call phone 打电话
make an answer = answer回答
make a decision = decide 决定
4 常用短语
(1)make sb. do sth. 使某人做某事
eg. Our teachers make us do a lot of homework everyday.
我们的老师让我们每天做很多作业。
(2)make sb.+adj.
eg.①Studying makes me happy.
学习让我快乐。
②This story made us sad.
这个故事使我们难过。
(3)make sb.+名词(表示职位的名词) 使某人成为…
made him our headmaster.
我们选他为我们的校长。
(4)make sth. for sb.=make sb. sth. 为某人做某事
eg. ①Leaves make food for the plant.
叶子为植物提供营养。
②My mother makes three meals for me everyday.
我妈妈每天为我做三顿饭。
(5)make it+adj.+(for sb.)to do sth. 使某人做某事…
eg. The makes it easier for us to do many things at home instead of going out.
互联网使我们足不出户就可以更轻松的做很多事。
(6)make…with…用……制作
plants make food with leaves.
植物用叶子制造营养。
(7)sth.+be made+of(成品中能看出原材料)由……制成/form(成品中看不出原材料)由……制成/in+地点. 在某地制造/
……/by+.
eg. ①The desk is made of wood.
桌子由木头制成。
②Wine is made from grapes.
葡萄酒由葡萄制成。
③My watch was made in Beijing.
我的手表在北京制造。
④This piece of clothing will be made into clothes.
这块布将被做成衣服。
⑤This toy plane was made by my father.
