Klosterbrauerei Weltenburg is the oldest monastery brewery in the world. Since Anno 1050 the beer is brewed according to the traditions of the monks. The brewery is owned by the Benedictine Abbey of Weltenburg, since 1973 the brewery Bischofshof runs the monastery brewery as a pany.
Weltenburg Abbey is located in Bavaria, Germany, in the Nature Reserve of Danube River. This monastery stands in place of the U-shaped island where the Danube river forms a 60 degree u-turn.

The monastery was founded by Iro-Scottish monks in 617, is held to be the oldest monastery in Bavaria.
The monastery courtyard is surrounded by Baroque buildings, the highlight of which is the abbey church, dedicated to Saint e, which was built by the Asam Brothers between 1716 and 1739.
