摘要
目前,光纤通信正在向着大容量、高速率、长距离方向迅猛发展,其技术的主要发展趋势充分体现在系统高速化、网络化,光线长波长化,光缆纤芯高密度化和光器件高度集成化等方面。为了能全面、系统地了解现代光纤通信系统的特点、关键技术的原理及其应用,以及光纤通信在21世纪的发展趋势,我选写了本文。本文力求由浅入深,循序渐进,基本概念和基本原理准确清晰,论证简明扼要,避免繁琐的推理,着重论述结论,注重将基本原理和实际应用有机地结合起来,并且特别注意以形象、直观的图标形式来配合文字的叙述,能使人抓住技术关键并全面理解本文内容。
本文主要介绍了光纤通信的基本特点与应用,其中主要介绍了SDH技术的原理与应用,并且简单介绍了几种现代光纤通信技术及光纤通信技术的发展趋势。

Abstract
