It optimizes its structure and enhances its performance by using cooperative relaying. This paper proposes a novel cooperative MAC design which discusses the selection of relaying nodes in Wireless Mesh cooperative work. In this new protocol, the destination node will broadcast Retran frames to relaying nodes when it can't receive data from the source node correctly. After that, those relaying nodes will set their timers according to the selection algorithm pete for the best opportunistic relaying node which will send correct data to the destination node. Experimental results show that this new MAC protocol distinctly improves the performance of work when the number of relaying nodes is proper.
