Where Anpu is?

Anpu Town,,built in 1444 in the Ming Dynasty, was once one of the four ancient towns in Guangdong Province.
Anpu, an area of 85 square kilometers,has a population of 12000, urban population accounting for 40%. The land area of township is 10 square kilometers. It has 187 unincorporated villages.
The boom and decline of Anpu
At the mouth of Jiuzhou River(九洲江）（Jiuzhou River with source in Guangxi , “the third river” of west Guangdong, is 162 kilometers.) Anpu had become an important business center of the Beibu Gulf (北部湾）since the Qing Dynasty.
However, a dam was built in the upper river in 1957, so the “golden waterway”(黄金水道） in Anpu died away . And Anpu was on the wane.
Dragon boat race
Every year since 2009, week-long Anpu Food Festival has been held from the first day of the first lunar month.◆ The food court is about one kilometer long,with 200 snack booths.◆The visitors usaually reached 20,000 person-times on the opening day.
