激励理论研究主要包括激励的内容(如马斯洛的需要理论、赫茨伯格的双因素理论等)及激励的内在心理过程(如弗鲁姆的期望理论、亚当斯的公平理论等),激励理论的发展趋势是由注重激励内容及过程的研究转向注重激励机制的研究与设计。本文根据对民办高校教师的满意度进行分析,结合国内其它民办高校及国外的私立大学的激励机制,优化民办仰大教师的激励机制。
建立激励机制的必要性:1、有利于教师建立对自身行为的评价标准。2、有利于挖掘教师的潜力和提高工作绩效。这是建立健全教师激励机制的最重要的作用。 工作绩效的取得是和能力与积极性成正相关的,通过建立有效的激励机制,可以大大地调动教师的内在潜力、激发其创造性,从而提高工作绩效。3、有利于学校吸引和聚集优秀的人才。4、有利于造就良性的竞争环境。科学的激励制度包含有一种竟争精神,它的运行能够创造出一种良性的竞争环境,进而形成良性的竞争机制。在具有竞争性的环境中,教师就会受到环境的压力,这种压力将转变为他们努力工作的动力。
