The cerebellum consists of the cerebellar cortex
and the underlying cerebellar white matter.
Four paired deep cerebellar nuclei are located within the white matter of the cerebellum. These nuclei are termed (from medial to lateral) the
fastigial, globose, emboliform, and dentate.
