In the process of the standardizing these technologies there are many challenges to met. This paper discusses these challenges and evolving/standardized technologies by defining those in terms ofa web services conceptual stack. It discusses how web services in current state are being used in the industry. It discusses about the stages in the process of standardization as specification, submission, working group and approval. The other paper gives brief idea about the web services. It discusses about some of the basics like service description and discovery mechanism. Web services conceptual stack has several layers. It identifies different issues that have been identified and divides them in different layers. It places the extensions, packaging, and transport layers under wire stack that deals with work and messaging layers using TCP-IP, HTTP, SOAP .
