世说新语文体研究专业中国古代文学刘强硕士导师曹旭教授提要作为一部影响深广的古代文学名著世说新语既是兴起于魏晋时期的志人小说的集大成之作又是繁荣于后世的世说体文言笔记小说争相规模的祖本其独特的文体风格在我国古代小说史上独树一帜有着相当重要的地位和价值本文对于世说新语文体的形成风格及其审美功能的探讨正是在这一认识基础上展开的本文主要由三部分组成第一部分为考镜源流在对世说新语文体直观特征加以勾勒的基础上分别从书名体例和形制三方面对其形成渊源进行考辨认为世说新语文体的形成来自对既往文化传统的合理继承与大胆创变它既是六朝文学自觉文体新变风气下的产物又呈现出雏形时期的小说文体努力挣脱史统束缚的清晰脉络第二部分是以史传叙事模式为参照对世说新语文体的叙事学阐释通过对文本结构时间视角等几个叙事学要素的透析我们发现在世说新语的具体叙事中对于史传叙事极为重视的历史时间人物背景重大史事等要素始终采取消解省略虚化的处理方式这使它呈现出迥异于史传的文体风貌同时其整体结构的空间效果和较为客观的叙事视角也是潜在地作用于文体风格的重要因素甚至比那些直观特征更为深刻地影响着文本的审美接受第三部分是从接受角度对世说新语文体的现代阐释分别从小说和戏剧两大文类寻找世说新语在现代语境下的审美生长点其合理的杜撰与虚构重呈现轻讲述的叙事方式等等都为这些阐释提供了前提和可能综上我们认为世说新语的文体创造不仅体现了传统意义上的小说文体的自觉迈出了我国的小说文体独立于史传走向自我成熟的关键一步而且它所开创的这种有意味的形式还蕴藏着无比丰富的审美资源具有现代阐释的广阔空间径直以史余之作目之显然是一种无视其文体创新努力的狭隘认识 Study on the Style of Shi Shuo Xin Yu Abstract As a famous ancient literary work, Shi Shuo Xin Yu has been exerting a tremendous influence upon the subsequent literature in China. Shi Shuo Xin Yu is the greatest one among the personage novels which came into being in Wei and Jin Dynasty. It is also the blueprint which the note novels in Shi Shuo style vied to imitate . Shi Shuo Xin Yu developed a school of its own in Chinese ancient novel history which was of great importance and value. This dissertation mainly deals with its forming process, its style and aesthetic function. The dissertation falls into three parts. The first part is “the study of its origin”. On the base of a general descreption of its directly-perceived characteristics, I study its shaping according to the name of the book, the stylistic rules and the layout and the form respectively. In my opinion, the forming ofShi Shuo Xin Yu style was due to the inheritance of the past cultural traditions and original change and creation. It was the result of literary consciousness and new literary changes in Six Dynastics. It clearly embodied the novelists’efforts to manage to break away from the trammels of historic record’s traditions in its embryo.
