预警指数系统的目标及任务
安全生产预警指数系统是以日常隐患排查结果和仪器仪表监测检测数据为基础，辨识和提取有效信息，分析其可能产生的后果并予以量化，将有关信息录入《安全生产预警指数管理系统》软件，通过软件进行统计、系数修正、计算，得出安全生产预警指数，形成直观的、动态的反映企业安全生产现状的安全生产预警指数图;运用预测理论，建立数学模型，对未来的安全生产趋势进行预测，形成安全生产趋势图。
企业安全生产预警指数图和趋势图(1-26周) 目的和任务:
1(以企业日常隐患排查工作为基础，发现工作场所存在的隐患，并及时纠正，使生产过程中人的不安全行为和物的不安全状态及管理缺陷处于被监测、识别、诊断和干预的监控之下。
2(通过对隐患排查数据、监测信息的分析，可以确定各种信息可能造成的后果，辨明造成伤亡的严重程度如何，确定是否处于安全状态，其主要任务是应用适宜的识别指标判断可能造成的后果，此对整个预警系统的活动至关重要。将分析得出的不安全因素进行量化，运用“事故当量”的概念，对可能造成的后果，进行量化统计分析，加以系数修正，计算得出当期的安全生产预警指数，通过安全生产预警指数曲线的升高和降低，直观反映当前安全状况是安全、注意、警告或是危险。
3(利用系统分析、信息处理、建模、预测、决策、控制等主要内容的预测理论，定量计算未来安全生产发展趋势，警示生产过程中将面临的危险程度，提醒企业采取有效措施防范事件事故的发生。
4(根据安全生产预警指数数值大小，对事故征兆(险肇事件)的不良趋势采取不同的措施，进行矫正、预防与控制。
