Abstract With the rapid development of social economy, people’s requirement for the preci- sion of wireless location services is increasing highly. At the same time, the developing UWBtechniques attract interest from all over the word. The special narrow-impulse of the narrow-impulse baseband UWB system can improves the performance of localiza- tion enormously. This project aims to achieve an indoor precision positioning system with UWB. An approach about construction of the tag location system based on Ultra-Wideband signal is presented. The proposed scheme doesn’t require strict synchronization among the base stations since it introduces an independent counter to record the time di?er- ences of arrival (TDOA). The proposed scheme can avoid error caused by asynchronous reference time and improve the location accuracy. Error analysis and simulation results are given.
