教学任务：  培养学生的舞蹈兴趣，通过基本功训练，提高自身的艺术修养和气质。通过民族民间舞蹈的教学，使学生初步了解，掌握二至三个民族民间舞蹈的基本风格、基本舞步、舞姿造型、动作基本韵律的特点等，丰富学生的舞蹈眼界和知识，广泛积累舞蹈素材，不断提高自身鉴赏舞蹈，表演舞蹈的能力，同时也丰富学生的业余生活。
教材内容：  舞蹈基础知识部分 
一、广场舞舞蹈的特点
 上面谈到过广场舞从表演形式上来划分较科学，从实践中也证明了这一点。但不是说什么舞蹈都适合广场表演。上面我说到广场舞有着自身的特点。  
  鲁迅曾经说过，美的享受的特殊性，即在直接性。失去了“直接性”，必然影响损害“美的享受”。广场舞蹈不是在剧场表演，剧场表演舞台幕布把观众和演员隔离开来；分为舞台表演区和观众欣赏区，使观众和演员分开。而广场舞蹈是在观众当中表演，演员至少有三个面对着观众直接表演，演员和观众能直接交流。舞台和观众是一体的，观众和演员打成一片，融为一体，使观众有一种特殊的感受。这是广场舞的第一个特征。
  主题欢快    由于广场舞蹈表演形式的特殊性，表演现场三面或四面都是观众，表演舞台和观众是整体的，表演现场人头攒动火暴热闹。这就使得大多数广场舞蹈的表演内容一定是热情欢快的，用舞蹈术语讲就是“情绪舞”。这种表演形式决定广场舞蹈不可能表现悲悲切切的内容或非常有意境的作品。这是因为广场舞蹈的特殊表演环境来决定的。所以说内容简洁欢快是广场舞蹈的第二个特征。
