IV Abstract With the development of economic globalization and regional integration process, the contact between the cities within Urban Agglomeration, or between the urban agglomeration and the exterior zone of the urban agglomeration, is ing deeper and deeper. The stream of people, flow of materials, flow of funds and so on is flowing and colliding ceaselessly, which promotes the city's socio-economic development groups and the evolution of spatial structure. At present, the author has made much intensive study about regional characteristics and differences. However, the research of regional economic links is lack of research, especially for the economic relation of urban agglomeration. Therefore, this paper takes functional linkage and spatial association as an entry point. Then the use of theories and methods of some subjects, such as the regional economic geography, urban geography and regional economics and so on, is to give a profound analysis of the foreign economic contact about the important central cities of the Yangtze River Delta. This paper proceeds from the urban flow theory. Through the measurement and analysis of urban flows Intensity and Structures, the author do some research in foreign diffusivity of the Yangtze River Delta, e to the conclusion that not only prehensive serviceability is promoted continuously, but also the overall strength of the cities should be strengthened urgently. The real reason why the foreign diffusivity of the Yangtze River Delta is not powerful is that the overall strength of the central cities is low. We should focus on the industrial structure adjustment and upgrading , and increasing investment in transportation to play their own advantages and enhance the external driving force and foreign diffusivity of the cities . In accordance with the gravity model ,the author figure out the economic contact intensity, which will help to determine the intensity of economic relation among cities, to grasp the characteristics of
