十八世纪末的英国女小说家简·奥斯丁在其杰作《傲慢与偏见》中描述了几对淑女及绅士的婚恋故事。本文旨在通过对小说《uality of optimism, self-esteem, purity and wisdom that women rarely have at that time.
First of all, there is no doubt that the heroine loves her families Jane gets cold, even it is a slight flu, Elizabeth walks alone in the mud to take care of Jane, regardless of the long distance and awkward state, while her mother and sisters think it doesn’t heropinion, all she thinks about is her sister, and she has to take care of her sister at that time. What’s more, when she learns that Darcy destroyed her sister and Bingley’s happiness, she refuses his proposal, although he is hansome, talented and rich enough.
One of the biggest features of Elizabeth is her prejudice. Her prejudice is some kind of
bigotry, and a lot of scenes reflect this she first met Darcy, all the ladies are attracted by his hansome looking, his good manner and his big fortune. However she feels that he is not a big deal when he shows arrogance to her. She feels like that he is not worthy of her attention at the same time, her crush on Mr Wickham is another manifestation of her character. She is not blinded by secular view of marriage. She has reasons to believe that people is always changing, so we can’t trust people just because their one shining
