30或者40元，不过也有些经济发展比较好的地方，例如蒲江县县医院，其缴纳的参保金是由村委统一支出的。
虽然不同地区缴纳的参保金各有不同，但民众并没有觉得不公平，因为被调查者都很理解各地区经济发展的差异，并且参保金对于普通民众来说并没有增加经济负担，不同地区参保金的差异是可以接受的。

在调查中了解到，报销医药费分为两种类型。其一是在医院凭发票直接报销。其一是凭发票到村委或者本地政府报销。无论上述哪种报销程序，报销之前还是必须要自己把医药费垫着。但报销程序时间是有所不同的，在出院时就可以到就诊医院的新农合窗口报销，可以当时就领取补偿金，可是在政府报销的必须在出院15天后将发票交至新农合办公室，新农合办当天受理报销请求，但需要一个星期后才能拿到补偿金。在医院中报销也存在一个问题，那就是新农合窗口工作人员不足或者不在值班的问题，在调查地——蒲江县中医院，新农合窗口和商业保险窗口是一起的，我们发现商业报销的窗口中有4到5个工作人员，但新农合窗口却无人值班。被调查者也抱怨在新农合窗口前等待时间或者排队时间过长。调查显示，大部分的民众认为报销程序有点复杂，但还可以接受的。不同地区的差异也是存在的，报销程序复杂也在一定程度上影响了民众对新农合的看法。

不同地区的报销比例差距是相当大的。例如，蒲江县红十字医院的报销比例为80%，在县级医院（例如蒲江县医院）报销比例达50%。而同是酉阳县的中医院的报销比例却只有60%。
地区间报销比例的差异是百姓感觉新农合最不公平的地方，尤其是在大医院报销比例的差异使他们最难接受的。有许多接受调查的人都建议在县医院中取消因地区原因而产生的报销差异。在大医院报销比例上，有些民众提出他们宁愿多出点参保金以提高在大医院中的报销比例，因为在大医院就诊的人所患的都是大病，大病的医药费用大，但报销比例却很小，或者甚至没有，这样还是没有达到新农合的目的——让农民大病可医。
至于报销范围，各地方的差异并不大。每个地方的报销范围都只是医药费，并不包含检查费（例如CT）以及床铺费等。而检查费用和床铺费用也是挺高的，出去医药费
