在初中英语教学中开展讲故事教学的尝试(江苏:张冠文)

【摘 要】讲故事的教学有其独特的优势,适宜在教材的综合技能部分开展。笔者以《牛津事前环节主要导入本节课的主题内容——寻宝。导入环节要短小精悍,迅速切入主题,调动学生的情绪。笔者设计了一个头脑风暴游戏,教学效果较好。笔者首先出示图1并呈现本课的重点词组treasure box,然后提问学生:If you happen to find a treasure box, what do you think will be in the treasure box? 学生议论纷纷,给出了很多不同的答案,:Today I will tell you a story about a boy your age. 2。 讲故事环节
讲故事环节分四个教学步骤,前两个步骤为教材中原有的听力练习A2和A3,后两个步骤为笔者新增的内容,整个环节侧重听、读和说的技能训练。(精品文档请下载)
(1)听力排序
笔者讲述自编的故事——Jack寻宝记,在讲故事时采用多媒体辅助教学,通过背景音乐和图片渲染气氛,给学生多种感官刺激,使故事更引人入胜,学生听得非常专注。以下为故事内容:(精品文档请下载)
One day Jack went out to play in the woods near his home。 He had a good time there. When he was tired, he sat on a piece of wood。 Suddenly he found there was a hole in the wood。 He looked inside and saw an old piece of paper. 学生听录音并完成教材的听力排序练习(A2):

大部分学生听一遍就能得出正确答案,,学生普遍感觉听力排序练习难度较大,大部分学生需要听两遍才能完成。“在讲故事的教学中,学习者的情感过滤降低,从而有效促进听力理解",而且“讲故事的教学能有效激活并构建学习者的背景知识和经历,即图式"(Fitzgibbon & Wilhelm, 1998)。(精品文档请下载)
