　　日本早在60年代就提出“工业设计立国〞，各厂商都在工业设计上投入大量人力物力。而三星、LG等韩国公司更是把工业设计当作企业的核心竞争力，在产品外观、人体工效学方面费尽心力，每年都投入巨资作设计开发，LG光是设计开发部门就有500名员工！而且它们会根据不同地域、不同民族风格设计不同的产品，LG在工业设计上的投入可谓是不遗余力。在我国，各有实力的大厂商也愈来愈发重视产品的工业设计，并且已经从中获益匪浅，手机、电视机等市场就充分表达了工业设计的带给中国企业的巨大奉献。众所周知，在产品功能、科技含量上国产厂商是拼不过如NOKIA、MOTOROLA、SONY等跨国巨头的，但为何中国品牌的手机和电视机能够从国外厂商中夺回半壁江山？靠的就是工业设计。凭借对中国消费者的文化和审美意识的深刻了解，国内设计团队设计出了“东方审美情趣与现代化统一〞的产品，当然得到了市场的热烈响应，工业设计大大提高了产品的竞争力和附加值。
