【景点名称】焦溪古镇
【景点简介】
一座拥有千年历史的古镇，文化底蕴深厚，历史上出现过朱元璋老师焦丙，状元李兆洛等名人。常州人文始祖季札曾隐居于焦溪舜过山下，可谓是季子故里。是常州至今保存最完好的一座古镇。它位于常州市东北部，与江阴相邻，东倚鹤山，北枕舜过山，南望石堰〔芳茂〕山，有舜河依山流径。其境内有舜庙、舜井、舜田、朱元璋老师焦丙草堂等遗址，明清风光的建筑随处可见。走在焦溪镇区古街上，仿佛置身于“小桥、流水、人家〞水乡美景画卷之中，因此，也被常州人自豪地戏称为“常州的周庄〞。
    在唐代，焦溪村凭借其区位优势形成了集镇雏形，直至清朝中叶成为常州东门外的大集镇，抗战前夕到达商业的鼎盛时期。该村古村历史特色肌理保存完整，现存“一河、四桥、五街、十三弄〞，“黄石半墙〞建筑技艺表达出南地北风的江南水乡传统村落特色，是江南山水兼备、风貌格局完整、明清商贸典型的代表村镇。
