The Sulfur Dioxide bustion ofcoal leads toaseries ofhazards, such asthe decline ofair quality, “acid rain ”and its like, soitisimperative that some measures and technologies were studied tosolve this problem. This paper analyzes the SO 2 pollution condition inChina; introduce the SO 2control technologies in3 different section bustion, before burning, burning and burnt, pare the advantages and disadvantages ofthese technologies; concludes that the best desulfurization process ineach heat-engine plant isdifferent bybasing onthe coal sulfur content and different environmental factors incurrent situation ofChina. Preface SO 2isone ofthe major pollutants inthe atmosphere tohuman, animal and plant health are extremely serious harm, the cause of"acid rain" phenomenon, itwill seriously damage the ecological system ofsocial activities. Currently, SO2 isthe major anthropogenic sources ofcoal, accounting for 90% ofthe total emissions. China isthe world's largest coal producer and consumer ofcoal inprimary energy consumption structure inChina occupies the main position, itprovides 75% ofindustrial fuel, 76% and 80% ofenergy generation, energy for civilian goods 【1】.Past two decades, along with economic development, national bustion fluctuations inSO2 emissions increased.
