In which Holmes found a long rope which should have been a bell rope but couldn’t make any bell sound,a strange air vent,and a fixed a plate of milk and a whip was also found.
Then Holmes found the thing was becoming decided to came back again in the evening and replace to stay in the room.
“We must sit without would see it through the ventilator”
“Do not go asleep,your life may depend upon your pistrol ready in case we should need wil sit on the side of the bed,and you in that chair.”
Might Watson also aware of the whiff of danger,he sat without any sound,preparing to action in any the most crazy scene started:
With hearing the whistle,Holmes sprang from the bed,struck a match,and lashed furiously with hiscane at the bell-pull.
“You see it,Watson?”he yelled.”You see it?”
But Watson didn’t see the moment Holmes ceased to strike and was gazing up at the ventilator when suddenly there broke from the silence of the night the most horrible it is silence again.
“It means that it is all over.”
