Part 3 Urban Design Specification For The Core Area Of The Station General Structure i^ Planning Concept The plannicitilites will be the main land types. The huge volume of the Station allows the inside concentration of traditional scattered retail shops out of stations. If needed, a large topical commercial park can be setp up outside to meet the shopping needs. Some lofty shopping places can be combined with hotels rounding the Station. The Station Region will have completely different image with fine architecture among gardens instead of confused profile and dirty outside surroundings. iii、Structure The design is inspired by the organization of Yuyin Mountain Garden, the summit of Lingnan Garden. The planned area is divided into two parts by the Station and rail lines and distributed with commercial facilities integrating the natural shape of the eastern and western lake. It will be unity by connecting and separatign spaces of different functions, colors, volumes and Forms, linked with the roundinng Ring Road by the internal fbotwalks. The current water system is integrated with the Station as the center in designing the two ecological water bodies of the eastern and western lake, forming the general ecological nature of the core area. A green belt is planned along the lakes, connected with the outer greens as a linking circular corridor of the whole planned area. Small green corridors are radiated from the circular corridor, linking the greens in different functional areas and making the core area a complete green system.. Water bodies divide the core area into 5 functional areas, the central hub area, northern service area with subsidiary facilities, western topical park, eastern exhibition area and hotel area scattered in the south and rounding areas.
