21世纪的中国,发展急剧的迅速,各方面都远远满足不了当今人们的需求,所以致使过去的公建已经相对的落后的少许,这其中也包含了可能以前设计的些建筑尺度偏小,虽说考虑到了可持续发展的需求,但是没考虑到社会的发展迅速远远超越了当时人们的想象所考虑到的规模,再者就是以前的功能比较的单一,只是便于管理或者是建筑本身的能力有限,,,易于改变,扩建,功能的多样性,内部空间的可变性,譬如说是现在设计为汽车站或者是其他公建类建筑,确实是设计时候是考虑到了后续的需求关系，但是谁也说不准，时代的变迁节奏太快，它当初的设计已经满足不了了现在的需要，那就是说这个汽车站已经基本上容纳不下了这么多人的容量,所以它已经不能再满足人们，为人们的服务了，需要再考虑其的存在性，就得在其他地方修建
