我省在省委、省政府的统一部署下，各地各部门不断深化思想认识，建立健全工作机制，狠抓各项工作任务落实，做了大量卓有成效的工作。省里和各市州和各部门结合实际，健全和完善法治建设的领导机构和工作机构以及工作制度，并对贯彻实施情况进行专项检查；从报刊到电视打造宣传“法治湖南”的专门阵地；分阶段全面开展“法治湖南”的学习培训；加强基层的基础工作建设，在各地扎实开展各类法治创建活动。
建设法治国家，大都是从立法，行政，司法方面讲依法治国的，而作为领导核心的各级党委如可发挥领导作用则所涉不多，然而《法治湖南建设纲要》用浓墨重彩讲了党委如何依法执政，这样就抓住了法治湖南建设的龙头。可以这样说，《纲要》在党委政府扩大决策民主化，创新社会管理体制，解决“转型期湖南”的多元化矛盾等方面具有强大的生命力！
我局把“深入开展普法教育，推进民主法制建设”纳入首要议事日程和领导班子责任目标，并认真抓好落实。及时成立普法依法治理工作领导小组, 并由局首要负责人任组长，确定法制宣传员,并根据人事变动情况及时调整，彻底负责普法工作的日常事务，为活动的顺利开展提供了有力的组织保证。按照普法依法治理的工作要求，做到普法依法治理工作每年年初有计划，年终有总结，促进全局的普法活动有计划、有步骤地开展。
