“十二五”经济社会快速发展奠定了良好基础。二是具备快速发展的机遇。我镇 “十一五”期间大规模的投资建设开始进入回报期，科学发展观的落实将促使我镇向更高更强的档次寻求机遇和进一步发展。三是具备快速发展的动力。我镇经济发展已进入快速发展阶段，但与兄弟乡镇相比还有较大差距，差距形成对比，差距引发动力。目前各兄弟镇竞相发展的态势咄咄逼人，你追我赶、加快发展的局面已经形成，发展慢了就要落后，只有以更快的速度、更高的质量发展，才能实现更高的目标。当然，我镇也面临一些困难和问题，经济和社会发展受到一些瓶颈因素的制约。主要是：结构性矛盾比较突出，较易受到宏观调控政策的冲击；传统产业层次低，高新技术企业数量少，经济发展的创新性和主动性差；投资总量小，缺乏支撑全镇经济发展的大企业、大项目；人才、资金、土地成为制约我镇经济持续快速健康发展的瓶颈因素，服务业发展滞后，社会综合保障能力差，经济和社会发展不够协调等。对此要在“十二五”期间加以解决。
