About the author
Hayao Miyazaki was born in Tokyo in 1941. Today he is one of the greatest animation directors in Japan.
He was given an honorary Oscar on Nov. 8,2014 
Hayao Miyazaki is a responsible director, because there are so many thoughts  about human and society in his works. 
His animated film mainly consists of two themes, one is man and nature, the other is personal growth.
Main Characters

Chihiro
Haku
Haku is a dragon spirit, which means that he transforms into a giant white flying learns magic from Yubaba and works for her. Yubaba puts the slug in Haku to control him and makes him forget his name.
YuBaba and Zeniba
They are twins
but Yubaba only pursues interests and she is the manager of the has a giant spoiled baby.
Zeniba is a gentle and kind helps Chihiro a lot.
Plot
"Spirited Away," which is mostly hand-drawn but puter-generated assists throughout, tells the story of Chihiro ,a 10-year-old who follows her impulsively curious parents into a seemingly abandoned theme park, where the adults scarf down food at an empty midway kiosk and turn into is trapped in the spirit world, and in order to save herself, her parents, and eventually her new friend, she has e to terms with herself and her unwitting captors. Gradually, in a series of almost episodic adventures, she learns to be brave and face up to her responsibilities to herself and the people she loves.
