在托福考试中,要不要先阅读文章,一直存有异议,有人说先读一遍文章浪费时间,还是直接做题来的实际,也有人说先看文章能获得文章的大体信息,便于把握文章的逻辑架构,这两种做法到底哪个更有用得看你所能获得的信息量,略读完文章所获得的信息量多,好用,信息量几乎为零,当然没用,但效果好不好,谁用谁知道,我认为第二种方法有效,所以我偏向先略读一下文章再做题的方法,但在略读文章的时候要记得主动阅读,不能被动的接收信息,要不然就成了第一种说法里的毫无效果以及浪费时间了。具体方法如何操作,我们以TPO6的第一篇Powering the Industrial Revolution 为例。
当我们在看到文章的题目Powering the Industrial Revolution时,脑袋里想的是什么,如果你有“管他呢,接着读下面不就知道了”的想法时要注意一下,托福阅读选自美国大学课本的文章,学术性文章有着很清晰的文章架构,即T(Topic) +A(Aspect) +A(Attitude)的篇章结构,文章的标题就相当于文章的主题,全篇围绕标题展开,这篇文章的标题是工业革命的动力,试想自己是作者,会怎么写,可以写工业革命动力的来源,动力的发展,或者工业革命对现在的影响等等,从这一个点可以散发出无数条射线,带着这些发散性思维精读第一段。
