阅读理解四篇 A In the autumn of 1852 when he hunted in Spasskoye, Turgenev accidentally picked up a magazine called “Modern”. He turned over a few pages at random and was attracted by a story entitled “Childhood”,whose author was a novice nobody, but Turgenev appreciated and cherished so much. He asked about the author's residence, finally learned he lost his mother at the age of two and his father at the age of seven, raised by his aunt single-handedly; in order to get out of the muddy way of life, the author went to he Caucasian forces as soon as he graduated from school. Turgenev even more showed great sympathy and concern and after several twists and turns, lie found the author's aunt and expressed his appreciation and affirmation for the author. The aunt quickly wrote a letter telling her nephew, "Your first story has caused a great sensation in Valeryan, and even the great writer Turgenev praises you on every occasion. He said, ‘If he can keep writing, this young man must have a boundless prospect!’” Receiving his aunt's letter, the author was wild with joy. He wrote it just because he was depressed for his life to kill his loneliness, without the wild fancy of being a writer. The famous writer Turgenev's appreciation suddenly lit the flame in his mind and helped him find the self-confidence and the value of life, so he kept writing nrestrictedly and eventually became an
