Your letter which gives me a great surprise has reached me .As your friend, congratulate to you for finding a job you like. In your letter, you mention that your work environment is always messy which makes you in trouble and wastes a lot of time doing something useless.
As for the problem, I want to introduce something about my major to you. I suppose it may be good for you more or less. I major in Industrial Engineering, which is called IE. In the factory, IE optimizes the allocation of the production system elements involving people, equipment, materials, information and environment to enhance industrial productivity. IE is aiming at improving system efficiency. IE is not just for factories. You can apply IE to some other fields.
IE can help you improve the situation you mentioned. I want to tell you a theory called“5S”, which means Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu and Shitsuke. The five words are Roman alphabets. I will tell you what they mean. Seiri means Order in English. One should apart the necessary and the unnecessary. Seiton has the same meaning with Straighten. Arranging the things properly and you will catch what you need in the fastest way. Seiso means Sweep, which can create fortable environment. Seiketsu means Clean, and it is the depth of the above
three actions. The last one Shitsuke means the personal qualities.
