摘要

地理信息系统(Geographic Information System,简称GIS)是能够对相关空间数据进行采集、管理、操作、分析、模拟和显示的应用系统软件。它采用地理模型分析方法,为高级决策提供多种动态的空间信息。
基于WebGIS的校园地理信息系统是利用ArcIMS(的GIS应用系统开发软件,拥有强大空间分析和可视化表达功能)开发的一套全方位、高效率管理校园信息的系统。该系统将GIS与MIS技术进行有效的融合,以电子地图的形式为平台,将学院的各种信息直观、形象地展现在人们的面前,可以为用户提供各种校园信息的查询和必要的空间分析、统计操作和专题图打印功能等。
本文首先提出了课题研究目的和意义并规定了课题任务,然后概要介绍了GIS的一些核心技术及其发展状况。最后,详细的描述了该系统的开发过程,核心技术。

ABSTRACT
Geographic Information System is an applicable system software which has the capacity of collecting, managing, analyzing and displaying spatial data, it uses geographical model method to provide many kinds of dynamic spatial information to advanced decision.
The Campus Geographic Information System(CGIS)based Web takes advantage of ArcIMS ( It is a development software of GIS application system and has powerful capacity of spatial analysis visualization expression) to develop a all-round, efficient campus information system. The CGIS efficiently fuses MIS and GIS technology, uses digital map as operation platform, directly and visually exhibits every kinds of campus information to us, provides various campus information query, necessary spatial analysis, statistic and printing subject map for users.
This dissertation firstly puts forward the aim and significance of this research, then generally introduces key technology and development of GIS, lastly describes the procedure of system development and its core technology in detailed.
