A to B
在本句型中,to 为介词,A与B是平行结构,可以是名词,也可以都是动名词。
1)本句型中,第一个不定式前面要加to,第二个不定式前面以不加to居多,也就是一般要省略to,接动词原形。例如
preferred to die rather than e a 。

2)rather than也可以置于句首,但是动词不定式的to必须省略:
Rather than buy a car of his own, he prefers to rent one.
