At the opening ceremony of Beijing Olympics ,a Chinese singer sang the theme song You and Me with British singer Sarah Brightman .This Chinese singer′s name is LiuHuan .He is one of the most popular singers in China .Born into a teacher′s family in Tianjin on August 26,1963, Liu Huan has been interested in music since he was young .He learnt to play Erhu when he was a small boy .He is good at learning foreign language ,too .
After he went to university ,he studied French literature (文献).In 1985,He won championships(冠军) at the First English and French Song Contest for Colleges and Universities in Beijing and showed his talents (才能) in both music and foreign language .After he graduated(毕业) from the University of International Relations(关系) ,he started teaching in the University .Now he is a very famous singer and a professor of music.
Zhang Ziyi is one of the best-known Chinese film actress .She was born in Beijing on February 9th,1979 .Her mother was a kindergarten(幼儿园) teacher and her father was an economist(经济学家) .She has an elder brother .She began to learn dancing at the age of eight .After she studied dancing at a secondary school for six years ,she went to learn acting in the Central Drama Academy in Beijing(中央戏剧学院) .
She wanted to be an actress instead of a dancer. In 1998,she started in The Road Home directed by Zhang Yimou ,China′s most famous director. The Road Home won the “Jury Grand (陪审团)Prix” Silver Bear at the 2000 Berlin Film Ziyi′s performance(演出) in Crouching Tiger,Hidden Dragon directed by Ang Lee has made her an international celebrity (名人).She has worked hard and started in many famous films like Hero,House of Flying Dagger,Jasmine Women and Rush Hour is a superstar and has a lot of fans worldwide.
